Time Flies When You're Having FUN!

Good Grief! Has it really been almost 3 weeks since the Green House and my Virtual Golf Room have been rocking out in McLean VA? Apparantly so, since the last post I made was before the house even opened, and believe me when I tell you that I am eating, breathing and practically sleeping the Green House morning noon and night!

It's been an exciting ride, let me tell you! When I last left off we were just getting ready to gear up for the opening of the house, and what a smash hit it has been! Bob Beecroft, VP of High Definition Golf flew down from Canada to hang with me for a few days during the opening, and boy did I show him how we party in DC. We kicked the opening of the house off with the Chairman's Dinner where the Who's Who of DC mixed and mingled the night away under the most gorgeous tent you've ever seen and of course inside of our beloved Green House. Everyone was so thrilled to get dressed up and cocktail the night away, including Bob who definitely had a great time meeting my friends here in the States and of course showing off his amazing golf swing in the Virtual Golf Room. Heck, even Lynne Cheney was there hanging in the Golf Room, which was awesome! The next night we did it all over again at the Preview Party where the Designers of the house were able to invite their friends and family and once again kicking up our heels to celebrate what was certainly a long long road between concept and creation!

Jura Koncius did a beautiful piece in the Washington Post, and yes Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus because there was my beautiful Golf Room right there on the pages in the beautiful full color spread. Barry Dixon and I even made the Washington Post Video Interview with Jura, where you can tune in to see Damon Hack (Golf editor for Sports Illustrated) show us his amazing swing in the Golf Room as well.

We're in the final week now, and this gal has not only improved her OWN swing, I feel like the most popular girl at the Prom because everybody and their brother, uncle and cousin all want to come and check out the Virtual Golf Room. In between running to and fro going on measure checks for people who simply can't live without one in their own house, I am manning the Golf Room during the day then heading back almost every night for a party or event. Whew! I am one pooped party girl, but I think I can hang in there for a few more days because I'm having SO MUCH FUN!

If you haven't seen the house yet, Friday is our last day so be sure to stop by. The Green House is located at 1310 Calder Road in McLean VA. Free parking and a shuttle bus will take you to the house...just follow the signs. Be sure to check out the coverage of the Washington Post article on the right too...and keep following me Behind the Green Scenes because NEXT week I head off to do a private Golf Party for the Soul Train Music Awards.

Yep. Crazy but true. Watch out P Diddy...I'm coming!
